  • I blogged a little while ago about a Pastor at our church. I talked about the fact that he had cancer and described the amazing peace that he had, every time I saw him. Bill passed away on Thursday night, at home with his kids and wife... He went Home. Please pray for his family and those around them. His wife is in a small group and the ladies in that group are doing an awesome job at making sure they are taken care of, but not overwhelmed. The funeral is tomorrow and they are expecting AT LEAST 1,000 people and that's not including his family and the people he touched outside the church. He was such an amazing man. So, please pray for his family now and keep praying. He has 2 amazing kids, a boy(Chris) in 7th grade and a girl(Abby) in 5th i think and of course his wife (Donna).

I know this isn't the most fun blog to read, but I know that you'll pray and that's why I'm telling you.
    Thank you so much!

    Have a great Sunday,
    love you.

  • giving...

it's not just about giving money...

    give our time,
give clothes we don't wear anymore,
    and things we don't need,
    give hugs,
give words of love and encouragement,
    give smiles,
    give prayer,
    give kindness,
    give our ears,
    give advice,
    give thanks,
    give ourselves completely.

God gave us His Son! He gives us breath and life and so much more everyday. We need to give more of US! When we give ourselves COMPLETELY to God...giving to everyone else comes with that. We can't be focused on us...it's time to give...it's something we ALL can do!

    goodness...

Sunday mornings are probably my favorite time of the week. Why? Well, I get to teach the Jr. High Sunday School at Church and man do I love them! They are so much fun to teach and it puts a smile on my face just to think of them :).

We are talking about the Fruits of the Spirit right now and this Sunday is Goodness. As I was reading through some Scripture and things online to talk about with them, I came across this quote:

"Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can"
    :: John Wesley ::

Honestly, I got teary-eyed when I read it. Do I really do good in any and every way I can?? I know I could do sooo much more and I want to! So, it's time to do more...

    Thank you Lord!

p.s. i'm thinking about checking out some blog sites that i could create so that people without xanga (like my parents/family/friends) could comment...what do you think??

  • October 8th

I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Momma! My mom is such an amazing woman and there is so much I could say about her, but this would then turn into a REALLY long blog. So, I will tell you what I have really grown to love more about her recently than ever before.

When  something goes wrong and I call my mom to tell her about it...usually crying...she has a really good way of showing me the good side of things. I don't know why I haven't appreciated this more before, but im super thankful for it right now!!!

    I love you Momma!

Here is a picture of her and I when she came to visit...we were REALLY excited to have found the Whole Foods Market :)
